I invited them to do a body scan and notice patterns of tension either in their jaw, eyes, shoulders, chest, stomach or legs; and how they were breathing. Most were shocked at how stressed their bodies were. This gave them the motivation to want to learn how to be more calm and resourceful during difficult conversations.
